She was discovered in a tool shed in rural Indiana at only a few weeks old and it was clear that she required special care. Bub was born with a multitude of genetic anomalies. She’s a “perma-kitten” meaning she will stay small and have kitten-like features her entire life. She has an extreme case of dwarfism and her lower jaw is far shorter than her upper jaw. Her teeth never grew which is why her tongue is always hanging out. Bub was also diagnosed with osteopetrosis, an exceptionally rare bone condition which is very hard to treat.

But despite all the challenges she faces, she is still a happy cat. Millions of people love her because she truly is a cutie. According to her owner, she has an attitude unlike any cat and she loves traveling.

Lil Bub is a tremendous advocate for homeless animals and pets with special needs all over the world. Most of the proceeds from her merchandise go to animal shelters in her hometown.
