Grumpy cat is an internet celebrity known for her “grumpy” facial expression. In this video, she is being petted and judging from her face, she seems to totally hate it! She is still so adorable! Here are some facts about the famous Grumpy:

1. Her real name is Tardar Sauce and she was born on April 4, 2012. She is owned by Tabatha Bundesen who lives in Arizona. According to Tabatha, Tardar Sauce’s perpetual scowl is due to an underbite and feline dwarfism.

2. The cat became famous when Tabatha’s brother Bryan posted a photo of her on Reddit in September 2012. The photo quickly went viral and ‘Grumpy Cat’ became a meme.

3. Despite her look, Tardar Sauce is not actually grumpy. According to her owners, she is very lovable and can also be playful just like any cat. She’s most active between 3 to 6 A.M. and sleeps most of the day.

4. She has her own book which made it to the New York Times bestseller list and she starred in a film entitled Grumpy Cat’s Worse Christmas Ever which debuted on November 2014. She also has a line of t-shirts, mugs and stuffed toys! This might be the most famous cat ever.

5. People have expressed concern that Tardar Sauce looks overworked – but her team were quick to point out that she is only in front of the camera once a week. She’s sleepy at appearances because she always naps during the day.
