Noisy Kittens Waiting For Dinner

This video features four adorable foster kittens who just can’t wait for their dinner. They seem so hungry! According to the uploader, they had been ill with cat flu and were just starting to get their appetite back at the time the video was filmed so no worries; the cats were not starved on purpose for entertainment.

Feeding your kitten properly is one of the most important things you can do for it to grow to a healthy adult. During the first weeks of their life, their weight will triple which means they need all the nutrition they can possibly get. They also burn large amounts of energy – two to three times more than an adult cat. Because of their high energy needs, it is hard for kittens to get enough calories in one meal. They have a higher requirement for protein in their diets so it is advised to feed them specially formulated kitten food until they reach their first year. Kittens have small teeth so they can’t chew dry food really well. Include canned foods in their meals is so your cat gets the needed nutrition so it can grow properly and healthily.
